UNIDO Investment Promotion Programme Office (IPPO) for Southern China is a non-for-profit body established by UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) in cooperation with Guangxi Provincial Government. The office focuses on two missions:
1/ Promote business partnerships between local and international companies
2/ Analyze local investment projects for foreign investors

Position 1: International Relations Manager
Location: Nanning
Contract: 1-3 years, starting from August 2008
Main Tasks:

  1. Maintaining and establishing good relations with international companies, organizations and associations
  2. Collecting requests from international buyers and investors
  3. Organizing matchmaking events for international buyers, investors, local suppliers and project owners

The candidate should:
- Have at minimum an advanced degree in law, political sciences, social sciences, project management, economics or business administration
- Have excellent communicational and interpersonal skills, be able to work in a team
- Show initiative, work independantly under general guidance
- Be able to draft concise, analytical reports in English
- Be reliable, give attention to details
- Have a good IT literacy
- Be fluent in English (written and spoken)

Position 2: International Project Officer
Location: Nanning
Contract: 1-3 years, starting from August 2008
Main Tasks:

  1. Carrying out surveys on local industries
  2. Collecting requests from local suppliers and project owners and assisting the International Relationship Manager in interacting with the international counterparts
  3. Keep good contacts with national counterparts, in relations with projects.
  4. Organizing matchmaking events for international buyers, investors, local suppliers and project owners

The candidate should:

  1. Have at minimum an advanced degree in law, political sciences, social sciences, project management, economics or business administration
  2. Have excellent communicational and interpersonal skills
  3. Be able to draft and edit project reports in English
  4. Be reliable, show initiatives and give attention to details
  5. Have a good IT literacy
  6. Be fluent in English (written and spoken)
